Much-needed rain cools the lateweekMERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - After a week of searing heat, we’re finally getting some much-needed rain and a much-deserved cooldown. Highs today linger in the lower 90s, with showers and thunderstorms possible throughout the day, but especially prevalent in the afternoon and evening. The same thing applies to Friday, except with highs lingering in the upper 80s instead. This is all thanks to a cold front and an associated low pressure moving through the area then stalling out nearby, giving us not only a drop in temperatures, but also in humidity.Meridian, MS4 hours ago
