How to add friends in Pokemon Go
- Open the Pokemon Go app.
- Tap your Avatar in the bottom left corner.
- Tap the ‘Friends‘ tab at the top of the screen.
- Tap the ‘Add Friend‘ button.
- Enter the Friend Code you want to add in the box.
- Tap ‘Yes‘ when the game asks you if you want to send a Friend Request.

Once you do all that, you’ll need to wait until the other trainer accepts your request. You will get notified once you have a new friend on your list.
If you get an error, you can try again to see if the problem persists. Sometimes, it means that the trainer has a full friend list and can’t add any more players, but it could also mean that the code is no longer active.
How to check trainer code
- Open the Pokemon Go app.

Can you change trainer code in Pokemon Go?
