【AIRSIDE WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: SEWell Day for Physical Health】Yesterday was Nan Fung Group’s Wellness Wednesday at AIRSIDE again! The day began with an insightful talk on office occupational health, offering tips for proper posture and easy relaxation exercises at staff’s height-adjustable desks. 【AIRSIDE Office Leasing Shows Robust Growth with Nearly 70% Occupancy in its First Year】AIRSIDE is pleased to announce strong leasing performance since opening in September last year, as office leasing occupancy has reached 70%, with nearly 850,000 square feet successfully leased to renowned multinational corporations.As Nan Fung Group's flagship project in Kai Tai, AIRSIDE’s robust performance is also reflected in rental rates. These range from HK$35 to HK$50 per square foot, nearly double the average rate of HK$25 per square foot for Grade A offices in Kowloon East.AIRSIDE has emerged as a hub for multinational corporations. In the first half of 2024, AIRSIDE secured four new leases with international companies. These represent 70% of the major Grade A office lease deals (50,000 square feet or larger) in Hong Kong during the period. Notably, AIA Hong Kong has leased four floors totalling approximately 150,000 square feet, marking the largest leasing deal in 2024 by area.AIRSIDE’s strong lineup of multinational corporations also includes Groupe SEB's Hong Kong office, Haleon (a British consumer health company), Konica Minolta Hong Kong, Lidl & Kaufland Asia (the sourcing arm of Lidl international, a Germany headquartered discount retailer), MUFG Bank, Ltd. 【World Environment Day: AIRSIDE presents Carbon Menus with 8 tenants for a healthier planet】It’s World Environment Day today! Here at AIRSIDE, we believe that every choice matters when it comes to building a more sustainable future. That's why we're proud to present the Carbon Menu Programme - a collaboration with eight of our tenants to provide the carbon footprint of the food they provide.The food we eat contributes to about a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions. By empowering our customers to make informed, low-carbon choices, we hope to drive meaningful change.Through this pilot programme, diners can now see the climate impact of the food they consume. Our participating tenants have agreed to calculate the carbon footprint of 50 dishes/items. The carbon footprint is the amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted during the production, processing, transportation, preparation of the food and also packaging. The calculation is supported by the Foodsteps platform, which connects food businesses with climate science, and also consulted by Grassroots Initiatives Consultancy.For our tenants, we hope to help them identify opportunities to reduce their carbon footprint, such as sourcing local and seasonal ingredients, reducing food waste, and offering more plant-based options.The Carbon Menu Programme is one of the initiatives that AIRSIDE has taken to promote sustainability and green living. 【AIRSIDE supports World Vision and RubberBand to help vulnerable children in fragile contexts】Thank you, World Vision Hong Kong, for bringing the "Childhood Rescue | Fragile Contexts Exhibition" to AIRSIDE from 28 May to 1 Jun. The exhibition presented the experiences documented by local band RubberBand who embarked on the "Childhood Rescue Somaliland Trip" with World Vision.RubberBand learned about children living in "fragile contexts", where they faced chronic instability, conflict, violence and extreme poverty. The band members documented their experiences through photos and text, which, along with memorabilia and tokens taken from Somaliland, were shown to the public with the aim of calling for awareness about protecting vulnerable children and families.The five-day exhibition culminated in a finale on 1 June, where the band appeared live in AIRSIDE, sharing their journey with words and music.
