Escape to Margaritaville, well not really, its Fredericksburg. We will be hosting a OBC gathering here at our home on November 22nd. I will provide an address by pm to all who would like to attend. Bring your favorite dish and beverage, but the bar will be open til the bottles run dry. Hope everyone can attend, you all are invited! I'll even set up the outside shower for those who feel the need to show off. And of course jello shooters will be available from Teri. But bring your own recipe so all can sample if you like. Made a quick date change due to long holiday weekend, thanks Steph!Will can you make this a sticky, please?!

We won't be able to make it the 8 miles over to your place because we'll still be 230 miles away in Nags Head till Sunday since that's Thanksgiving weekend. UUGGGGHHH!

We only changed the date when we realized the 29th was the holiday weekend. Figured more people would be traveling, hence the change. If more folks prefer the original date, we can go with that, just let me know.

I think I may try to talk my husband into us coming if that's okay! He's a little wary of talking to people and making friends via the internet (he's happier either in a tree stand or surf fishing), but if I tell him you all love the OBX as much as we do he may warm to the idea. Plus, he makes a crazy drink that he "invented" that he has named the "Kentucky Luau" :martini_shaken:. I'll tell him to bring the ingredients and make a batch for everyone to enjoy.

I feel funny RSVPing to a party where everyone is a complete stranger. I'll be mingling like, "Hey, I'm Junebug. You must be Hookedonfishing." :roflmao:

I'll send a PM for the address once I know we will be able to make it. We're just up the road in Alexandria so you're really not too far.

Hey Junebug, come join us. We have lots of fun and its like meeting family at a reunion you've never met. I was so excited to go to my first gathering, meeting everyone was great. Teri and I traveled to Richmond for our first, so glad we did! I feel like our family just got bigger. We've been fortunate to go to 2 more since, one in the OBX. Hope you can talk your husband into making the trip, I will be happy to send you the address. Hope to see you here, Steve A Kentucky Luau, sounds interesting! Will it work with Jello?:smiley46:

Thanks, Hookedonfishing! I think we have a few of her sisters in our freezer and a few of her brothers on our walls! If I'm able to drag Mr. Junebug out of the woods for an evening the two of you will have to compare hunting and fishing stories.

Now that I think of it, he usually hunts on a friend's farm down near Fredericksburg. Once I tell him how close the party is he'll have no way to wriggle out of it. Of course he may be dressed head to toe in camoflauge, but at least he'll be there, right? :roflmao:
